Wi-Fi Not Working On Smart Device - Help From AT&T

Don’t Sigh, Fix Your Wi-Fi!

Was your Wi-Fi on your device working before? Did it stop working? Are you having trouble setting it up on your device? Not to worry, We have some tips that will help get your device connected!

Unable To See Wi-Fi Network

If you were connected to Wi-Fi in the past, but can't now?  There are 2 simple things you can do to resolve this:

  • Reboot modem/router – Follow your modem instructions to perform this task. Have U-verse? Learn how to restart your gateway here.
  • Reset network on the device – If your device is having issues, you may need to re-enter your Wi-Fi Network and Password when resetting the network.
  • Public Wi-Fi - If you're trying to connect to a public Wi-Fi connection in a restaurant or airport, please check out our helpful Wi-Fi support page.

How To Connect Your Device To Wi-Fi

If you have never setup a Wi-Fi connection on your device, it is simple! Below are links that can help you connect your device.

  • Android
  • Apple
  • Other Devices – Choose your device, scroll down and select Wi-Fi. You will be prompted through troubleshooting steps.

The Password

The font can be quite small on modems and routers, so ensure you are entering the password correctly.  An example of common mistakes are "S" and "5".  Or, "L" and "I", etc. Also, some modems have special characters, make sure you get those in there.

Device Troubleshooting

If the steps above do not work, there is additional troubleshooting support you have access to! Check out our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. It allows you to troubleshoot your device from the palm of your hand or computer. To receive a link to download it to your device, text myATT to 556699.
