Samsung Galaxy S5 Error Recording Data since Marshmallow Update

I just recently got the Marshmallow update.  I only have 2G of data on my phone because I am at home on my home WiFi most days.  I have set the data limit on my phone at 2G so that it will turn the data off when it reaches 2G.  I checked today, and my phone is recording that I have used 1.76G and my next service date is not until Sept. 15th.  I knew that couldn't be right, so I called *3282# on my phone to get my data usage sent to me from AT&T via text message.  When I got the text message, I have only used 821.42MB of 2,584 MB (which is .8G used).

I tried a soft reset of my phone, but it did not help.  Has anyone else reported this issue?  Is there a solution?

Thanks,

Janet

Hello @janetec!

My apologies that your phone is showing different data usage then your account! I will be happy to help!

Did you set the cycle that data resets on the device to match up with your billing cycle? You can do this by accessing Settings > Data usage. When you click on the data, it should give you the option to change cycle at the bottom. From here you can set the date that you want it to reset each month!

Also, check out our support article for Track wireless talk, text, and data usage for steps to view this from your account or app!

Just let us know! Have a great day!

This problem corrected itself with the next billing cycle.
