Numbersync has suddenly stopped working and I can't reconnect

I am on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and my synced device is a Gear S3 Frontier.  It was working fine until about a week ago. My gear indicates that numbersync is "off"...when I try to connect, the indicator just spins and spins.

It's been crazy trying to navigate the site to troubleshoot. Anyone have a fix?

Hello @swikan,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Forums! To best assist you with your NumberSync concerns, I would like to provide you with an article on how to setup the NumberSync to your watch. It will walk you through how to enable the syncing feature.

To make sure they are still compatible, make sure to check for updated software versions for both your Note 8 and the Gear S3 Frontier.

I hope you find this helpful and Have a great week!

I have had the same issue with numbersync stopping just after recent updates done.

Was told it was because I have an 'unlocked' phone, but that didn't explain why it worked fine before the updates....for almost 2 years.

Was on phone with support for nearly an hour, to finally factory reset my smartwatch that made it work again.

Just allowed another software upgrade and numbersync stopped again.

After nearly 2 decades with AT&T I am about to switch because of this, if it is not fixed!!

I have an unlocked Samsung 7 edge (was a gift), and the Samsung Gear 2: both new when acquired, and about 2yrs old now.

I had a Galaxy S6 Active paired to a Gear S2 Classic, then paired the Gear to an S7 Active, I now have the S2 classic paired to a Galaxy S10e.  Sometime over the past couple of years, numbersync has become unrealiable.

I saw an article somewhere that "answered" this issue by saying NumberSync only works in areas where HD Voice is available.

My question to that answer is:  How did numbersync work flawlessly prior to HD voice hitting the market? Can we go back to that setup?
