No GIF keyboard in Android 8 Oreo on Samsung Galaxy S8
I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 to Android 8.0 Oreo and can't find the GIF ability on the keyboard anywhere. All the other carriers have it and all the tech sites said the function will arrive on Android 8.0 Oreo. How come loyal AT&T customers can't get our GIF fix?

Same problem and no resolution. Can't find anything on any site that suggests a fix. Sticking with Gboard and Textra.

The S9 has them I think the S7 has them. For some reason the S8 messaging has not been changed.

Um, the GS7 got it. The S9 did not have it out of the box. It arrived a few days later. Since he GS8 just got the OS 8 update, you might get another update with the messaging changes. (Thenyou might have the same complaints about “change” that go with all changes)

ATT for some reason did not have the new keyboard in the s8 series oreo update... who knows when it will come... Use gboard if you want gifs and other cool things its a better keyboard anyway.

Gboard is free. I’ve been using Swiftkey for years which I paid for. Both have gifs and stickers.

I am on the Note 8, we just got Oreo 8.0. Not quite sure how I ended up in the S8 topic, my bad. Don't feel left out we don't have it either on the latest update to Oreo.
