Re: AT&T Mark the Spot

We need a cell phone tower in Valley Springs, CA; 95252  I even have acreage not being used I would allow you to put one on.  Verizon just installed a new tower here, so it would be in your best interest before people start switching to them.

Re: AT&T Mark the Spot

I have spent not hours but days and cumulatively months and months over the years trying to resolve iPhone, internet and WiFi computer problems. Since I received my iPhone 6plus my phone says not connected to internet EVEN when I am at home connected to WiFi ... another isssue! I have gone back and forth with AT&T and Apple - as always blaming each other!  This is not my job. I have lost so many hours in productivity and personal time. I am sitting in line trying to get on my phone- once again - no internet connection. when I am trying to conduct business! Sorry venting... don’t even let me go there about the the computer updates for window, printers lens, WiFi . It is not our job to “fix” your technical problems. How many times do you call and it is “your” problem...they don’t know what you are talking about or THEY don’t know what they are saying. And not trained!  When you research - there are hundreds and hundreds of other customers having the SAME issues. This is applies to ALL the companies. This problem will not be taken care of until the “customers” take a stand and demand the services we paid for. How many work hours and personal time have you taken to resolve issues and problems that they ignore? CUSTOMER SERVICE has gone out the window. And we still get the same bill from all our communication companies - no matter what the downtime, personal time and lost, work hours we have incurred for non performing product and services?  It is time for customers to come together and start deducting for services not performed. Technology companies need to be held responsible for keeping up, working with and integrating advances. Not having the customer running around desperate to get the services they are paying for an not receiving in an effort to resolve THEIR problem NOT ours. Whew thanks. It is Monday. What is my solution? AT&T? BYW- when u have spent so much time running around and downloading fixes- that don’t work. Nothing is more unnerving than- “there’s an app for that” really- how come customer support didn’t tell us??

or when we went back and forth from Apple to AT&T ... they didn’t “use the app.” To resolve the problem? Ok done. Smiley Wink.

Re: AT&T Mark the Spot

After many hours online chat with customer service via my wifi it was determined that my area has such high traffic it needs more towers to properly serve it with 4G mobile internet.  My devices will work fine in another low traffic area but at home..no. The problem has become so critical there are others who can no long even make or receive a call nearby the high traffic area and specifically there is one ATT customer who is elderly and alone with only cell phone.  Cell service is no longer a convenience, it is the life line of communication for many.

Re: AT&T Mark the Spot

I live in Carthage missouri. Just outside Joplin. I usually have less than -112dBm signal. Very often drop calls, take a long long time to send text messages. Unable to send pictures most of the time. Have lived in Manhattan KS and Denver CO and had the same problems. My signal has always been terrible with AT&T.

Re: AT&T Mark the Spot

We were in Blanchard, ID last month. The coverage map showed best coverage at community center and 3G I think elsewhere for miles. Well, we had no coverage for 2 weeks. Others with Verizon had a signal. The month prior we left Verizon for ATT. Now I wish I never had. So, when we go to Mexico, are we going to be without coverage again? The coverage map is useless. When in Blanchard I had to drive 20 miles before i could make a call.  The coverage map was grossly wrong and misleads customers into believing your service is comparable to Verizon. Isn't this false advertising?

Re: ATT

I have no idea why Federal Communications allows this to continue year after year at the cost of safety, wasted money, and time of the public. I have gotten the Report a Spot app to send ATT where the signal is low yet it is also useless so far. I have towers near me but as one tech put it to me from ATT they are sucked dry due to massive traffic so maybe the answer is yet one more tower that evidently ATT does not want to shell out the bucks for because a high profit is made by getting by on what is available now. Robber Barron of the communication age.

Stats show the land line phone is all but gone for consumers. See any pay phones anywhere? I would expect to visit the wilderness and not get a signal but at least Satellite phone service on a pay phone should be at certain areas for emergencies. Maybe they are now. I don’t travel anymore.

Re: ATT

I had went on vacation and I was relying on used gps on my phone. I had gotten the unlimited plan at the beginning of the month and it worked just fine. We traveled from Texas through New Mexico up to Colorado and 80% of the time I had cell service but I couldn’t get 4G or LTE. I’m really disappointed in the lack of service I had.

Re: ATT

Live in Manteca Ca and cant use my cell phone at home.  It constantly drops calls or I am too broken up for anyone to hear me.  Also, data is very slow yet my phone says LTE coverage.  How do I fix this issue?  I was told to upgrade my phone and so I did and there is no difference.

Re: ATT

Hello. I have been with ATT cell service since it began. I can travel to a nearby island off the coast and have the most excellent service from phone calls to high speed data streaming of TV. I come home back on the mainland and my service is not good. No streaming and sketchy phone service. After sooo many hours on conversations with ATT agent asking what is wrong this is what they came up with for my problems:

When on the island there is a tower near me that has very little traffic upon it meaning very few phones are using the tower. Back home I am in a super high traffic call area yet do have a nearby tower but it is overwhelmed so I barely get one bar on my phone but luckily I can make phone calls. The super plan I have is supposed to give me free streaming of video etc., but no it does not. If it did not work on the island I would drop it. It is amazing. I can go to the island and stream TV as if I had cable yet at home no…it will not work. Why? As a tech explained to me after looking up my geo position, I am in a hot bed of cell data transmission that will not allow me to stream because I get 1 bar. As soon as I leave the island I visit for good I will drop it all and just go for cheap phone calls because what was promised me simply does not work at home.

Interesting enough, I talked with a tech guy who ramped up the power in my area yet it died back down in 24 hours. I have given up on home service yet do enjoy having a tiny tablet TV fed by cell service on the island.

Re: ATT

I have marked the spot, and we still have horrible service at home. I can't even walk out to the garden without dropping calls.

Is there a way a tower can be placed? 99223 is the area

Re: ATT

Wifi calling is usually what is suggested to those with low/no signals. I at least get one bar so I my phone works but cell data streaming does not. There are maps online to show where your nearest tower is if you are curious. Sure, towers can be added at any time but I’m sure there has to be a large enough economic reason to install one before it is done. If you have an internet connection and wifi please look into that set up. It may be your solution as opposed to a cell signal booster which is very expensive.
