Sorry, there is no workaround. The app only works on phones provisioned for HD Voice service and I am pretty sure the 5s is not HD Voice supported. Look in the app store for other apps by the same app developer, Hiya. I think there is another app that basically does the same and will work on a 5s.

I have non qualifying androids and use Hiya. It works very well on android. I assume Apple has Hiya also.
