App Not Working - Troubleshoot & Things To Know From AT&T

App Troubleshooting For Your Mobile Device

 

There is an app for everything now! To turn on your lights, stream your shows, make super sweet memes, get a ride, and much much more! Sometimes, those apps do not work correctly. There are many reasons why and we have some helpful troubleshooting information below that may get your app back up, and running!

 

App Troubleshooting

  1. Reset the device.
  2. Delete cache. Varies on phone, browser or device operating system.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  4. Verify you have the latest software/ operating system on your phone or tablet.
  5. In some instances, restoring the phone has resolved app function. You may lose pictures and other data if this is performed. 
  6. Report/post a review in the applicable software store for your affected device to help address an issue via the App Store.
  7. If you notice an app not working after installing or updating another app, there could be an app conflict. Try deleting or disabling any apps that may be running in the background that could cause issues.

3rd Party Apps: Some 3rd party apps(Non-AT&T apps) may not be optimized for the latest OS. AT&T does not control if or when these 3rd party apps will be updated. If  you are having issues after a new firmware update, it can take time for the app developers to deploy an update. We recommend posting feedback via the App Store.

 

Note: If the app is causing issues with your device, we recommend discontinuing use. 

 

Rooted Or Jail-broken Devices

When you root a device, you change the OS of the device. Most apps are defaulted to work with the latest OS created by the manufacturer. If you are using an app on a rooted device and you are experiencing problems, the issue may be with the OS itself. We highly recommend using the OS the phone came with/ designed for.

I don't know if you can help me with my problem or not, my Samsung S8 plus has so much advertisement pop ups that it is difficult for me to text because they keep popping up, How can I remove them?
