AT&T Wi-Fi Calling
Talk and Text in More Places!
Hello Community!
We all have run into those areas where we don’t have the bars we need though. To help keep you connected, AT&T has introduced Wi-Fi Calling! Wi-Fi Calling lets you talk and text from indoor locations where it’s hard even for a strong cellular signal to reach. Wi-Fi Calling can be used in the Domestic Coverage Area (U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands) and from most international countries.
Wonder if your device supports WiFi calling? Find out if your phone supports it and how to set it up.

They just added one other LG (Phoenix 2). maybe they jumped the gun on the Vista?
All other wifi ready phones have it listed in the headlines.

Don't remember seeing the G Vista 2 in the list at all. It's a VOLTE phone but don't think it's WiFi-C capable yet.

@ltorresr If they meet all requirements for ATT wifi calling, and can connect to the same wifi, of course. Dont multiple devices connect to wifi for data use? Yes they do.

Using Airplane mode do you leave it in Airplane mode until you leave the house?

Airplane mode with wifi on at home keeps the phone on wifi calling. You don't have to keep in airplane mode. I don't. My phone switches to wifi calling if the cell signal is poor.
If you leave home you have no wifi, so you must turn airplane off or you will not get calls, text or data.

Yeah, I concur, mostly ;-]
You could, in theory, run 100, or more devices on a single home router/switch setup, with multiple APs, and no issues, as long as your router/switch/APs are handling the priority packets well.
Even really good quality voice streaming doesn't take much bandwidth, it's really more about latency and jitter, and if you're getting a lot of dropped packets.
That's the downside to VoLTE (particulary with problems), you don't really get a low-comprehension sound like with analog cell, you get silence, for the segments where the packets get dropped.
Like @lizdance40 said, you don't *have* to leave it in WiFi mode. You may want to, for some phones, it all depends on how well the firmware handles the switch between cell/WiFi calls. There have been some reports of certain phones not doing a great job. My phone, a 6P, is known to do an amazing job (even thoug it doesn't qualify for AT&T since it's non-branded), being that Google designed it with that in mind (project Fi), specifically.
