AT&T Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi Calling.png

Talk and Text in More Places!

Hello Community!

We all have run into those areas where we don’t have the bars we need though.  To help keep you connected, AT&T has introduced Wi-Fi Calling! Wi-Fi Calling lets you talk and text from indoor locations where it’s hard even for a strong cellular signal to reach. Wi-Fi Calling can be used in the Domestic Coverage Area (U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands) and from most international countries.

Wonder if your device supports WiFi calling? Find out if your phone supports it and how to set it up.

Hello @GLIMMERMAN76.  This specific thread was created for Wi-Fi Calling announcements, but if the community has questions or concerns regarding Marshmallow updates, please see our thread for Marshmallow Updates & Discussion.

Thanks so much!

They do not even list their Newest Samsung phone above as Supported the S7's!!!!   So why do we even need to read "How does it work"    AT&T should loose lots of customers to Verizon and T-Mobile  with their POOR Support and SLOW Updates.   Yet another reason why Updates should NOT be left up to Carrier to release but to Manf.   Like Apple and Google Nexus phones are.

Ah but try getting any enhanced lte services on a nexus device on att. You can't. No HD voice advanced messaging or wifi calling on non att branded android and Windows phones.

Very true Glimmerman, and why someone might ask.....

the answer is that AT&T uses proprietary services so AT&T can keep you tied to the "carrier" model, forcing you to buy AT&T branded phones if you want/need these services. Yet another reason AT&T is loathsome...

The g4 got it first because it was in development well before the g5 was released.
