Same problem with Nokia 1520 Windows Phone. Must be an AT&T thing. My Verizon work phone (Windows) is working fine.

I have a Nokia Lumia 635 running on Windows 8.1. Only one number is giving me the invalid phone number code, and adding a 1 in front of the number. I have powered the phone off and back on a couple of times, but I'm still having issues.
Is this a network problem?

Not sure which side the problem is on, but I'm texting between my Verizon and AT&T phones. Messages that come back from Verizon show the extra digit ... ex. +11(###) ###-####

This causes a problem with the reply. The initial text seems to work, so either Verizon is sending an extra digit or AT&T is adding it on the receiving side. Looks like a system issues, not a device issue.
