Hello @sld5cats,
Having issues with your email account is never a good thing. I will be more than happy to help!
It sounds like the server settings need to be adjusted within your phone. We have a wonderful support article which will provide you with the server information you need. Once you have this information, you can go into your phone’s settings and update them to match the above support article.
If you are unable to edit the server settings or afterwards they are still not working properly for you, restarting the phone or resetting the network settings can help clear up any connection problems. You can do this by heading to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will remove any saved network connections such as your saved Wi-Fi passwords.
Let me know if you are able to get your email back up and running on your phone!

Finally had a chance to try the settings. Actually the settings for att.net was correct, so we deleted the account from the iPhone and re-added it. Now email works fine. Thanks for your assistance.
