email to text

We use email to text for work related notifications. In the past few months employees with AT&T service experience delays in receiving notifications - sometimes 20 plus hours after event took place. Employees with other carriers NOT experiencing the same problem. Is there a solution for this problem?

Hello @larryc31

It would be our please to help you!

You can compose a new message and enter an email address instead of a wireless number. You can also reply to a text, picture, or video message sent from an email address. The recipient will see your email address as:

  • yourwirelessnumber@txt.att.net (text message)

Please compose a new message and send it to yourself. Additionally, reply to a previous message seven days old or older, and keep in mind - you must be in network coverage area to work. If you are out of town for summer holiday, your current location may affect the service as well.

You can review our Send Text to Email/ Email to Text Article    for more information and troubleshooting steps.

We hope this is helpful, and have a great afternoon!

As an alternative, try NPANXXXXXX@mms.att.net. NPANXXXXXX of course being your 10 digit number. I’ve had success with this addresses when the txt.att.net gave me trouble. Just confirmed it worked for me with an immediate message delivery to my phone.
