Same security on any account, you need an Id and pin to access. Besides, why would anyone hack a prepaid account? What could you get from hacking a prepaid account? You can't withdraw money from a prepaid account. Any balance can only be used for prepaid service. I'm pretty sure your payment methods are masked. I don't know what you mean by hack the number.

Specific to the hack was my phone calling itself yesterday and phone
settings being altered after that call occured.
Today, calls I made on the phone do not show up on my account and calls not
made on my phone but with my phone number show up on my account. The only
solution is to change the phone number which I have done.
There is no additional security layers for the device, the phone number or
the account on ATT prepaid that can be activated per ATT

There is probably some other explanation for your issues. Based on what you describe, I really don't believe your phone or number has been hacked. As for your phone calling itself, I presume you received a call from your own number. That is probably number spoofing, not a hacked number and receiving a call should never cause any phone settings to change. Maybe your phone has been hacked but if so, it's very unlikely through your ATT service or number.
