Hello @Squeaky,

Being able to turn off Mobile Data from your myAT&T account is a fantastic way to stay on top of data usage.  I will be more than happy to help!

We have a fantastic article which has a step-by-step guide on how to turn mobile data on or off via myAT&T and from any device! Here are the steps in case you are not able to access the article:

  • Go to Usage
  • Select Manage data in the Usage options selection below the graph
  • Toggle Data Off or On for the device you want to manage
  • Select Save

I hope this information helps! Have a wonderful day!

Well I have tried to find that pesky page where I can turn off my data,
but I can't find it, so I must not have a share plan.
Now what?
Can I still have my data turned off for my devices?
If so, how do I do that?

Your plan name is on your account.  What plan do you have?

Most devices also allow you to turn off data in settings.

Hello @Squeaky

I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to locate the page to turn off the data.  To turn off data on shared lines, you will need to have a Mobile Share plan.  If you have an individual plan, you won’t be able to do in this method.  Here is another link to click on in order to manage your wireless usage in various ways!

The alternative option is most smartphones have a built in setting to manually turn off the data temporarily.  You can click here for device tutorials on how to perform the master reset.  You will first choose your device and then click on the Tutorials tab > on the left side column, choose Connectivity > then please choose Signal & Cellular Data.  Here will display various tutorials to help you further.

Thanks @lizdance40 for your help as well!  I hope these steps satisfy your concern with your data management.  Please feel free to contact us back if any further assistance is needed.  I hope you have a great day!
