Is a way to uninstall/turn off visual voicemail?

My sister says that there is a way to uninstall/turn off visual voicemail so I don't have to pay the extra $40 a month that I CANNOT afford! I do not use the VVM anyway!!!
If someone could please tell me how to do this I would appreciate it!!!
Thanks!!!

Don't listen to these know it all's. Anyone who claims they know every plan
that every one has and how much they cost are liars. Period.

Are you suggesting I don't know how to read my dang bill? I know what the heck it states and I KNOW that they're charging me an additional $20 for a service that I neither requested or was informed about.

To suggest I'm lying about my bill when I have it in front of me just ticks me off worse. You must be an att rep.

Plans change all the time. There very well might have been a 125.00 plan at
one time. There are thousands of people on plans that aren't current
anymore. I'm one of them. I highly doubt someone can sit here name all the
plans that AT&T has ever had.

@Thinblueline

There has never been a 125 dollar unlimited plan.  its not like there have been many unlimited plans there have been 4 that were consumer plans.(all this are multi line plans on ATT this does not include those from alltel as they had there own unlimited madness)

The OG unlimited plan is now 40 per line plus the line fee

Then there is the DTV plan that was 60 for the data plan and 40 for each line.

unlimited choice is 85 bucks for the data plan and 20 for each line.

Unlimited plus is 115 for the data plan and 20 for each line.

It's more like they are stating you are wrong.

Are you intentionally telling untruths, I don't think anyone thinks that.

You must be an att rep.

Do AT&T reps often call you a liar?

Before we forget how it works..., if a customer does not yet have the papaerless and auto pay discount, the unlimited choice PLUS would indeed be $125.  $115 is AFTER $10 discount.

@Shannon73.   There have been errors, it's possible.  However, it's far more likely if your line is in contract for 2 years (not Next installments) then you are paying a $40 line charge for the phone, not VVM.    Once your line is out of contract at the end of 2 years, the line fee drops to $20.

Posting a photo as @GLIMMERMAN76 did would prove your point.  Please block any personal info like phone numbers.

@lizdance40 Unlimited Plus would be $125 without the $10 discount, not Choice.

[Please keep it courteous]AT&T does much more than call us
liars, so, I'll answer that question: yes!

OK everyone is getting confused.....  Look at the data plans ONLY

Choice is 85 per month BEFORE the paperless billing and autopay credit.

Plus is 115 per month BEFORE the paperless billing and autopay credit.

Then you add the cost of each LINE at 20 bucks.  ATT's new way of explaining these data plans SUCKS!

I'm just trying to figure out why someone saying "you're incorrect" is the same as saying "you're a liar"?

Are you saying you've never been wrong before? I tell AT&T they're wrong all the time, it's not like I'm calling them a liar, it's generally poor math skills.

If that's the attitude, I'd think your support calls go downhill pretty quickly...

Trying to understand how being wrong turns into lying and then the conclusion is it's an AT&T rep is just fascinating to me.  (Yes, I know you didn't write this)

Especially after the person already said they have a screen shot of this, just post it, prove the other person is "lying" and you're vindicated. But somehow that isn't happening...
