I’m sorry to hear you’re unable to get those text messages from Uber! Did it start right away or was it working before on the phone?
Just to double check, Uber has both Android app and iOS app Permissions that need to be acknowledged when installing Uber on the phone as a rider or driver. The descriptions of these permissions are created by Google and are worded the same for every app — currently, there's no way for Uber to customize them.
