What a great question, which I would be more than happy to answer for you!
Currently, there is not a way to send a text message directly from the AT&T website. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you wish to send text messages from your computer, this would be possible through the AT&T Messages application. More information about this feature can be found here.

@garydunnaz You can send text from an email client, you use the cell phone number@mms.att.net. ie: 2345678900@mms.att.net
