Does the AT&T Secure Family app have the same features as Smart limits?
I saw that smart limits will no longer be available soon and it will be replaced with a new app? Will that app have the same features such as call blocking and monitoring texts and calls?

Hi, @Daniellerae,
We have this! Take a look at information on the new AT&T Secure Family app including the list of features. Call blocking is not on the initial list of features. Neither is monitoring texts and calls.

That is very unfortunate. While data is a concern, so is allowing or blocking specific numbers to call and/or text in specific times of a day. Very disappointed AT&T would end these features.

I had no idea Smart Limits was going away until I logged on a few days ago, and was forced to download the new family security app. I am frustrated that I no longer have control over the time settings as before, and I am not interested in the map/tracking feature. All I want to do is set a daily schedule, like before, that takes the phone offline (during school hours, at night, etc.). Now I have to have the phone synced with mine. And all of this inconvenience costs MORE than the previous app. Not using it.

This is not good. I use smart limits to monitor who is calling and texting my children. You just took the only tool away for doing this.

This link is listed as Solution Solved, and it is not even close to solving the issue. Need, ability to block phone numbers, monitor text, ability to manage phone use OTHER than data like SMART LIMITS HAD, I hope this issue can be addressed quickly as other carriers offer solutions and I need to have abilities that Smart Limits had minimum.

I cannot even log into smart limits now. It goes straight to the new app and no way to exit out. My kids data is currently off and I can't even log in to turn it back on. I like that I can block sites with the new app, but I really value the ability to see who is calling and texting my children, block people, and set time limits where they cannot receive calls or text from anyone but their dad and me. This needs to be fixed asap

If you can't get data on, call ATT direct, they will fix.

The new app will NOT do anything that Smart Limits does. This is a non-starter for anyone who actually wants parental controls.
Bring back Smart Limits!!!

This is not a solution, why does AT&T consider secure family an enhancement or something better than Smart Limits? It is not. Bring Smart Limits back!
