Slow LTE Download Speeds

I have an iPhone 5, and about a week and a half ago my LTE download speeds became UNBEARABLY slow. I've been running speed tests with the speedtest.net app, and my download speeds with FULL LTE are consistantly at 0.3 mbps, which is unacceptable. I am in Kansas City, MO, but the same thing happened to me when I was in Florida last week. My brother in Los Angeles, who is on a different account, also is experiencing the same issue with the same speed test results, so it appears it is not my device, nor account specific. I already did a full restore and set up my phone as a new iPhone, reset network settings, etc. all to no avail. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello @jcmack03

Do you have an unlimited data plan? Those plans get reduced speeds if you use over 5GB of LTE data in your billing period. If that's not the case, you can try a network settings reset in Settings - General - reset - Network Settings Reset. If you're still having issues, you might want to stop by your local AT&T store to get a new SIM card.

Thanks,

I am not happy that data speeds get throttled down to 0.35 mbps when you go
over 5gb used. That is NOT ok. That renders data on my phone useless. You
say on your own website that even with unlimited data when you go over 5gb
you will still have enough data speed to use the device for simple web
browsing, but that is not the case. I've talked with 3 AT&T reps on the
phone, but all I get is the runaround and standard answers that amount to
"Sorry, deal with it." I am so tired of this and upset that I am likely
leaving AT&T for T-mobile. This is unacceptable and amounts to false
advertising. In reality, I am not getting an "unlimited" data plan, but a
5gb plan that reduces to unusable speeds after.

Me too! Los Angeles. It's hovering right between 0.3 and 0.4 Mbit/sec. It's so bad that my browser keeps timing out when I try to load a web page.

YOUR solution does not work, its YOUR NETWORK not my phone. I reset my phone, got a new SIM and even got a new phone.

I even tried my phone with a T-Mobile SIM in it and got 15X faster speed.

I am switching when my contract is up, we are DONE !
