SMS to cell phone not working

I have followed the directions for ATT&T SMS mail to cell phone and no luck!

I used the "123456789@txt.att.net"  instructions using my new cell number but after three tries, still not getting it to work.

 

Anyone know why?

Thank you for the post.

What exactly happens when you try sending text-to-email message? Do you get an error message, or fail to send? Can you send yourself a message?

Keep in mind you do need to include the complete 10 digit number without dashes or spaces between the numbers.

Please try sending yourself a text-to-email message to test, and post back with the results.

Hello, sorry, but after several attempts, it became clear it was my fault.
I have a new phone and new number, and I kept putting wrong number in the
sms message. Sorry to bother you, and thanks for taking time to reply to
me.
