Recovering old deleted Texts?

does anyone know if there is a way to recover old deleted texts? More specifically I need printouts of texts between myself and two other individuals for a court case. Please advise.

Hi, @mskmsk22,

In most cases, deleted texts are lost to time. There are third party apps you can find that claim to be able to restore texts, but in this like many things apply caveat emptor.

If you have an iPhone and backed your device up on iCloud, there is another possibility.

Sign into your iCloud account with your Apple ID and password.
Click on Text Messages. If you don't see it, the messages were not backed up.
Search the messages for the ones you want restored.
On your iPhone, choose Settings>iCloud.
Turn off Text Messages.
On the pop-up, select Keep On My iPhone.
Turn back on your text messages.
Tap Merge. After a few minutes the deleted text messages should appear.

I have the same issue for the same reason and I don't have them backed up to the icloud - any other ideas?

If you did not back up your data, you can apply the following alternate procedure:

1) With your left hand, hold down CTRL and ALT keys on your computer.

2) WIth your right hand, apply palm vigorously to forehead.
