Problems with messages tool on my computer

I have been trying to look at messages on my computer through the messages.att link and for about a week now I keep getting the error message below. Is there something going on with this that we are unaware of and will this issue be fixed soon?

Error Message received:

Hmmmm, Something Went Wrong.
We were unable to setup AT&T Messages. Please come back to http://messages.att.net and try again later.

Hi @natdpol,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Being able to check your text messages online can definitely be very benefical. I certainly understand wanting to get this fixed. Let's make sure we guide you in the right direction to get this fixed!

The error  – Hmmmm, something went wrong. We were unable to setup AT&T Messages. Please come back to http://soc.att.com/2pEtqaF and try again later. – This is usually due to a general provisioning error. When it comes to experiencing issues on a website, I recommend clearing the cookies and browser history before retesting the website.

If you are still getting the error message, you will need to contact us to make sure that your account is provisioned correctly for AT&T Messages on our end. I will be sending a private message to gather additional details. This way, if the steps provided do not help we can follow up to make sure this has been resolve.

I hope you have an amazing rest of your day!

@ATTCares Is there an update on this? I'm having the same problem on 3 different browsers.

Not yet, I have received an inbox message asking that I call and trouble shoot with them. Unfortunately I have not had the time. I did clear my browser as suggested but that did not help.

I am using an unlocked Samsung S8 (which I bought from Best Buy) this feature worked for awhile but seems odd it suddenly stopped.

It's a little frustrating, but I guess I will have to deal until I have time to call.

Hope you have better luck.

Nope. I got the same type of message to call them. When I called them they didn't know what I was talking about.

They always assure me that they have annotated my account with the problem and status but when I speak to them again there is nothing on my account.

I think that AT&T has killed this service and just not told their Customer Support team. This is the message I got back in Jan. 2018.

Mine stopped working 2 weeks after I got the AT&T cloud back up message listed in the above message from the previous poster.  I called and did trouble shooting with the online support help and they said they were going to elevate the trouble ticket.  That was 2 months ago.  Still can not access my messages online.  I thought it had something to so with having an iPhone but that isn't it as I see folks with phones are also having this issue.  At&T doing away with the cloud back up service may have something to do with the issue.  Would have been nice to have someone from AT&T contact me back pertaining to my trouble ticket that was submitted.  My iPhone and Apple Watch are sync'd in accordance with the numbersync wearable instructions but still no joy.....AT&T what is the real deal?  Has this ability to use messages.att.net gone away?
