Not receiving group messages

Since 2015, there seems to be some issue with group messages according to the forums. My generations 5/6 iPhones NEVER had an issue receiving a group text. However, upgrading to a generation 7 has caused quite an annoyance in the group messaging process. As a personal trainer who trains groups, the last 3 days have been a farce on AT&T's end. I am still waiting on group messages from yesterday morning. Reading this is a recurring issue since 2015 gets me little more upset.

Welcome to the community Forums! Not getting important group messages is definitely a concern. I use this function quite a bit myself and understand the need to get this fixed as soon as possible!


It is a good idea to make sure the iPhone’s software is up to date. Please go to this website, select your phone’s make and model, and click on Software updates on the bottom for steps on how to update. You may want to backup your phone’s software before the software update using iCloud or iTunes.


Please visit this page and try the steps in the group message section.


You can also try the great Troubleshoot and resolve tool which can fix many problems. For best results Log in, select your phone model, and click Messaging. Follow the steps until group messaging works again.
