Can I make International calls with cellular data function off?
We will be traveling to Italy. My phone is an Iphone 5 (I know--need to upgrade!) and I may need to use it occasionally for work purposes. If I turn off the cellular data function, can I still make calls and use email when I have wi-fi without incurring charges? Also, if I receive an incoming call when not on wi-fi and do not answer, does that incur a charge?

Greetings @AnaBanana
We understand the importance of staying connected with your work life while traveling overseas. It would be our pleasure to help!
Please know that when disabling your device cellular network, your cell phone will not be able to function properly with phone calls, texts, emails etc even when connected to available WiFi. Also, international charges would still occur if you have not added the international day pass feature with your wireless account.
We recommend checking out our AT&T International Day Pass Page which will provide more details about the international feature, and what available countries that are included withi the day pass.
We appreciate you reaching out to the AT&T Community, and hope you enjoy the rest of you day!
