I don't get FB Messenger notifications
I don't get FB Messenger notifications on my AT&T Prepaid phone. This never happened on my StraightTalk phone.
The setting for notification is on, I get notifications for YouTube, GoogleVoice, etc. but for some reason not from FB Messenger.
This is an issue because some people communicate with me primarily through FB Messenger.
Any one else have this problem?
Suggestions for troubleshooting?
Anyone know why this is?

My guess is your notification settings are off. If the messenger works at all it means it's working with the carrier. Check notification settings in app and on the phone

Everything is on, as far as I can see. I checked everything before I posted the question. What happens is that I get no notifications, then I open up the app and everything starts to load and I start getting notifications. Maybe it's not running in the background? I don't know how to check or fix that.
