Group Text Limit of 10 - can someone else add?
Hello, I have a group text that is maxed at 10 recipients. Can another person add someone to our existing group?

Hi @Nickey15,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I do apologize you are limited to 10 recipients on your device. Please take a look at our Group Text Limit article, which goes over why this is in effect.
Have a great rest of the day.

This issue has not been resolved. This is an ongoing problem that needs to be looked into. We should be given the choice. if we want to be able to up the limit we should be able to. I have been an ATT customer for close to 15 years and I am really debating on switching carriers because of this issue. I cannot participate in my family group chats without confusion. my messages only go to 10 of the 14 people. I also have at least 4 friend groups that i cannot participate in. I should not have to deal with an additional app when the messaging is built into my phone and i would have to pay extra for a service that is being blocked due to my carrier and their outdated view on group messages. Also the other people in my group chats don't want to have to deal with an app when texting is the norm. i get more spam phone calls that no one is doing anything about then spam messages (i have gotten no spam texts in the last year). This is terrible service on ATT part and i cannot believe that this is something they refuse to deal with. so very disappointed.

I agree. It's embarrassing. I'm on a few group chats with real and volunteer work and mine splits them into 4 or more chats. There should be a way to have more than 10.

This is not a solution, it is just AT&T not listening to the customers. If this can't be resolved then I will be forced to move to Verizon. I have been an AT&T customer for around 20 years, sad.

This is how you lose customers. I just switched to AT&T from Verizon, but I am not happy with strange restrictions like this. I just scrolled through numerous posts from customers who are unhappy with this restriction. Listen to your customers and fix the problem.

This issue causes problems with our group at work. 3 people are left off of informative texts because there's no room to add another person to the current group of 10. AT&T you need to listen to your customers. Verizon is about to add several boosts within our company. You are going to force people to change carriers because you unnecessary limitations. Not cool.

I rely on my phone for work. When I have 16 in a group that need to communicate between each other, I can only respond to 10. This is ridiculous!
