Fix Sonim XP5 to be compatible with Facebook messaging.
Why won't this page let me paste what I just wrote to Sonim? Using the insert code option 😛
Thank you for the October 4.4.2 firmware. Please UPDATE for FaceBook users trying to use message within facebook. Sonim XP5 always goes off to a page saying all your friends are using messenger, download now! Cant get past it. Link takes you to a dead end. Try getting from app stores and it tells you that its not for your version of phone. Several hundred dollar phone that cruises the web and everything else nicely won't message on facebook. Yet my 1/4 cost Nintendo 3DS XL can do it just fine. That's goofy.

It's merely a compatibility issue. The Sonim XP5 is a specialized device and it is basically a feature phone. So the Messenger app isn't available for it.
Try using mbasic.facebook.com on the browser. That should get you basic Facebook chat functionality.
