This is an excellent inquiry you have brought to our attention. When you are abroad and enjoying your time out of the country, the last thing you would want to worry about would be your wireless services and billing. I would be pleased to share additional information.
When you are using a Wi-Fi connection to make calls over Wi-Fi Calling, the chances of being charged International rates depends on several factors, Sometimes, weak Wi-Fi connectivity will prompt the connection to return to a wireless network to deliver calls. In this case, your call would be seen as a International call on your account and bill.
To ensure all settings are turned off while Internationally roaming, I suggest checking out our Device Support Tool. You can select your Wi-Fi settings and/or data connectivity to learn additional details about your phone.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
