How do I find my data usage that’s occurring even on WiFi?

Good afternoon @Landerlin.
This is actually a great question! I’d be more than happy to provide what information I can to you on this subject.
In order to view your wifi usage on an android device, you will need to enable this from within the Data Usage Widow. (Settings > Data Usage). When you’re in this page, you will tap on the menu button (3 vertical dots in the top right corner) then tap on Show Wi-Fi.
Currently, I do not see there being a way to do this on an iPhone. This may be a feature released in a later update, but I cannot say for sure.

My iPhone data usage is depleting much more quickly in past two months. Usage has not changed much with exception of google map for navigation. Does google map usage use up significant amounts of data?

Turn by by turn directions with google maps uses about 1 gig per 24 hours of use.
