Can the new iPad Mini be grandfathered into the AT&T unlimited data plan ?
I currently have a iPad 1 on the unlimited data plan.
If I buy an iPad Mini, can I transfer my unlimited data plan to the iPad Mini. I realize I won't get the LTE performance, but that doesn't bother me.

Earlier this month, AT&T confirmed that my unlimited data plan could be transferred to a new iPad Mini.
Success !!! I've just gotten my unlimited data plan transferred to my new iPad Mini. When prompted for which data plan the iPad Mini could use, the unlimited data plan was the last option presented, and already selected.
The AT&T technician confirmed that my new iPad Mini is on the unlimited data plan.
