I am afraid to make any more changes. In the beginning I had family share plan but in order to get the direct tv doesn't count against your data I had to switch to what I have now which is some kind of unlimited plan. Not 6 ,months after I made the change guess what..or it doesn't matter what kind of plan you have now you can watch direct through the app and it will, not count against your data. Well all fine and good but I can't switch back to what I had now. I have been with this company since the days of the Motorola bag phones and Cingular/bellsouth mobility. From what I can tell the company does things like this to get you to move from a plan that may be better for you to a plan that is more better for the company and then wham its too late to go back.

on this new plan can you have an additional device added like a tablet for the same $10 month I'm paying now? Probably not. I have read and read the fine print till my eyes hurt and I can't fine anything about it except the company does offer a separate plan for like 30 plus dollars a month so there you go again. I loose for $10 a month tablet and have to play an additional sum just to keep that and its for less data.

THREE options:

  1. $20 for a tablet to have unlimited.
  2. $10 for a tablet to have 1GB.
  3. FREE to share 15GB from your phone to your tablet.

Who told you that?  From the day ATT bought Direct TV, which is before they offered an unlimited data plan again, DTV app use was sponsored data.  (DTV acquired in 2014, Unlimited + TV plan in 2016).

You can switch to a shared plan.  The 20 gig plan is $100 plus $20 for phones, $10 tablets. No overage charges.

I'm trying to figure out why I HAVE to pay not only for an extra line but another plan if I want to add a Gear S3 WATCH to my plan. I'm sorry but I don't need another number for a watch. Sorry but that's sheer stupidity at its best. "Hey kids if you need to reach mommy today call my watch number not my phone bc I'm leaving my phone at the house." Who the .... does that? It makes zero sense to even have a separate number for a gd watch. What kind of ridiculous {edited for word filter evasion} is that and what (ha ha ha) came up with that idea? They should be shot. That being said....I just want a watch. With the same number as the phone or how about just bluetooth? That works. So why is it AT&T wants to (oops... apparently AT&T is petty as well) me with paying for a complety separate plan? And before anyone pops off about being able to just add a line to my $90 a month plan.... that was not an option I was given. Yet it should have been. Pretty simple.... pay an extra $10-$20 and BOOM! Watch is on my plan. Why is it exactly AT&T insists on making things ridiculous AND expensive? Not even 2 months in and I think i've had more than I can stomach of this.......

I suggest you read on how numbersync works.  The phone number to the watch is a place holder.  Even tablets have numbers and they cant make calls.  What plan are you on is the question.  I have a apple watch and pay about 13 bucks a month for it with taxes and fees.  Its worth it with numbersync as I can leave my phone in my desk when running around work.

You have wrong information.  The watch number cannot be used for talk and text.  It’s a data only line to connect to your phone.

Read about number sync.  https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/features/numbersync.html

It says right in the plan page you can add smartwatches for only $10 plus taxes a month.

https://www.att.com/plans/unlimited-data-plans.html

AT&T UNLIMITED TABLET & WEARABLE PLANS: Provides talk, text and/or data based on device type. Requires a single line eligible unlimited plan (“Single Line Plan”) on the same wireless account. Multi-line plans are ineligible. If you become ineligible, AT&T may move you to a different plan with same or lower monthly charge. Once moved, you can move to any currently available plan. Restrictions: Tablets, connected wearables & cameras (sold separately) only. Select locations only. Same speeds, terms, conditions, restrictions & limitations as your Single Line Plan. Tethering requires compatible device. Pricing:Monthly $10 plan charge for wearables & $20 plan charge for tablets & cameras (in addition to monthly charges for Single Line Plan). Limits: Only 2 of these plans can be associated with your Single Line Plan.

They used to be such a good company to work with, but now it's all about the $$$ and customer loyalty doesn't mean squat!  I have been with AT&T for 17 + years and don't want to switch because I like the service / products, etc. like you said.  It used to mean something to AT&T when they saw how long a customer has been with them.

I am in the whole so much money from two separate issues that were caused by AT&T employee screw up and I am stuck paying for their mistakes, literally.  I either won't be able to get this hot spot added, because I owe direct tv too much money from the 2 weeks I actually used it (which derrives from an AT&T employee mistake), or it's going to cost me hundreds of dollars if I have enough money to pay it off, or if they will let me pay a portion off of Direct TV in order to add this plan, which is an ASAP new requirement for work.  If I can't afford the Direct TV, then I get to explain to my boss, awesome...

Ive had the unlimited and more premium for 4months and for the life of me and 10reps no one could get my account added To Watch TV app or website  to ever get it going . I've never watched not even 1 min through that app and it's suppose to be included as one of the perks of paying the extra $  for the  premium unlimited wireless account .

It was really one if the most frustrating processes I've ever dealt with in my life for a supposed premium product that was at the time (I haven't checked lately) had a 2star rating in the playstore for that particular app it was the bug infested apps I've ever seen . The reps knew it most said they'd get back in touch when they figure out what's going on. Never heard nothing and as they assumed most customers will I gave up .

So has anyone had that experience or have you have better  luck with the top tier premium wireless account than  I've had ?
