AT&T Messages Backup & Sync login redirecting to main sign-in page

When attempting to login to messages.att.net for a phone line, I am redirected to the regular myatt homepage login. However, on the same computer another user can login and view their messages perfectly fine. I have followed the steps outlined in the tutorial and have read through responses on the forum already, so please do not suggest the standard. When viewing the console, I see the following error for the account with the redirect problem:

Failed to load https://myattlog.att.com/....[removed]. The 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header contains multiple values 'https://www.att.com, *', but only one is allowed. Origin 'https://www.att.com' is therefore not allowed access.

Please advise. Thank you.

No thanks to @ATTCares, the problem has been resolved.

I determined that the reason I could not access the messages via messages.att.net was because a wireless number had not yet been assigned to the profile.

AT&T -- Please add user-friendly error messages to your webpages. Smiley Frustrated It took me analyzing the query strings to even develop a theory as to what was going on. Someone without experience in an IT field may never be able to resolve this issue without happening to stumble upon it. Additionally, your lack of customer service has been abhorrent.

For anyone who encounters this problem in the future, this is what I did to fix it:

1. Login to your My AT&T account

2. Click person icon on the right side of the top navigation bar

ATTNavBar.JPG

3. Click "View Profile"

4. In the Profile Menu, click "Contact Info"

5. Scroll down to the "My AT&T wireless number" section. If it is blank, add your wireless number. You will receive a verification code at the wireless number entered.

6. Once the code is verified, go back to messages.att.net and attempt to login again. You will be prompted for another verification code which will be sent to your wireless number.

7. Enter verification code on the webpage. At this point, your messages should load.

Hi, @skb1989,

Let's take a look at what's happening with viewing your messages saved through the AT&T Backup & Sync app. Check to make sure the app is updated and that your device has the most recent update. Let us know the troubleshooting steps you've already attempted.

Hi James,

There is no app since I am doing this on a PC, not a tablet. I have:

1. Cleared cache and cookies on Chrome browser (browser is latest version)

2. Tried a different browser

3. Restarted the message sync on the phone (Samsung J3 2017)

        a. I have seen the notification on the phone indicating it was synching the messages

I would not believe this to be browser-specific because I can -- in the same browsing session -- log into my own message backup & sync at messages.att.net, but my daughter cannot login to hers.

Her AT&T login info was recently created and she never received any kind of passcode to her phone when trying to login to message backup & sync.

Thanks.

Can you just look at one of the dynaTrace sessions? What info do you need from me to accomplish that?

@ATTCares

Hello? It has been more than a week and I have yet to get any help. I still cannot get in to Messages Backup.

I have been having this connection issue too. I connect to the Internet with an AT&T hotspot. It seems to me that when I am browsing the Internet, I am connected to some private Internet making me believe that I am on the Internet as usual. The websites are being sent to me "mirrored", which means that I connect to a copy of the websites that I try to go to. I have compared websites, sitting next to my friend, her sites looked different than the one I had received over the Internet. I also noticed that sometimes, the sites are being fed to me over RSS. The letters RSS are often visible for a split second. I have tested my connection quite often and some of the test-sites show that I do NOT have Internet access. With today's technology, it is quite easy to make you believe what you see is genuine and test results can be easily altered before they get to your phone or machine. In my opinion this is the real reason why we see this "redirect issue" with AT&T.
