I would like to contact someone in the vast AT&T corporation who will assist me with a simple problem. I have phoned the regular numbers without satisfaction. They are only willing to recite the rule book and ask for an exorbitant amount to do as I ask. Loyal customer wanting to remain but loathe the unthinking reps who can only recite the policy.

I am considering getting a UPS and it has surge protector ports for Ethernet and Coax. I am wondering if there are going to be any signal issues if I passed the Cat5 connection from wall to UPS first then to the modem and the same for coax. Does anyone have this setup? I want to make sure that filter / surge protection feature of the UPS doesn't degrade the signal.
