My Roku 3 DirecTv Now App does not exit when using back button twice and receiving a exit or cancel links, either link is frozen and does not work. I have to press the home button to get out of app, which leaves me to believe the app might be streaming in background.

Hey Larry, thanks for reaching out to us here at DIRECTV NOW. I see you are having a hard time with your DIRECTV NOW app on your Roku device, this is definitely not something we want for our customers and I can definitely help you with this! First lets try a few troubleshooting steps, I would like you go ahead and start off by uninstalling and reinstalling the app "channel" Please let us know if that clears the issue we will be standing by awaiting a response.

Having same issue - cannot exit the Direct TV Now Application, it apparently remains streaming in the background and causes issues for using other devices - too many concurrent users or streams are active at same time, I am having to reboot the Roku to drop the stream and release the device from Direct TV Now application - this is a totally unacceptable user experience!! When Ieave the Direct TV Now app on the Roku, all streaming should cease and release that device from Direct TV Now.

I guess AT&T doesn’t read these threads? It’s obvious a lot of customers are experiencing this yet they act as if it’s an unknown issue when you contact them. Hello AT&T??? Can you help us? I think I’m going to switch to YouTube TV.

No they don't. This is just a customer community forum with no support personnel present. To get any results from DTVN you will need to report to a rep via the chat facility. Then do not expect anything.
