Electricity went off. Lost internet connectivity to network. SWM system.

Today our power went off. Now my receivers are not connecting to my home network. Help me step by step recover/restore internet connectivity.

how are you receivers connected to the internet?

what model of receivers do you have. look for the model number inside the access card door..

Did you try rebooting your modem & router for your Internet?  Are you able to connect with a computer through your router, to pull up any Internet site?

Sometimes, when a power outage occurs and then resumes, the Directv system seeks a Network connection.  If the router has completed boot up, all is well.  If the router has not completed boot up, the Directv system will configure itself without a network connection to the router.

If this is your problem, the cure is to disconnect AC power from the Directv boxes and then reconnect AC, first to the Genie, then the HD DVRs, then the receivers.  If you have a Wi-Fi connection between the Directv and the router, the process may be somewhat different so post back details.
