I purchased an extra rc71 remote so i could have 2 in one room to operate one of my genie clients, how do I pair it and will it affect the remote already paired?

to pair it,

Press and hold MUTE and ENTER for a few seconds.  this will not affect the other paired remote

Re: rc 71 remote

Un-Pairing

RF4Ce/RF

Mode

This resets RF4CE pairing information

and re-sets the remote to control of the

receiver in IR mode. This does not clear

the programmed devices if a TV ID has

been programmed.

Press MUTE + Select at the same time

until the green LED blinks twice. Press

9 8 7 on the remote, and the green LED

should blink four times.

Upon entry of an invalid key sequence, the

remote LED will blink one long blink in

red and return to normal operation.

If the Genie Remote is in a programming

state and has no input for 10 seconds, it

will exit the programming state and return

to the last pre-programmed code.

Re: rc 71 remote

do you have to use on screen program remote function before holding mute enter. there must be some way to select which client for remote to operate. some special reciever code you input? when you do the mue enter it flashes green for a while then ends red
