change room of HD DVR

I need to move HD DVR to other end of house; will need longer wires.  Does Directv tech have to change at dish?

Re: change room of HD DVR

Hello @Lizzyc, let’s get your question answered.

When moving your DVR, so long as it’s connected to the same network, you will not need to change the DISH.

Hope this helps!

If you need longer satellite coax cables and aren't comfortable doing it yourself, call DirecTV and request a service visit .... 1 800 531 5000.

You won't need a new dish.
