What's a "SWM 6" splitter?   Typically SWM splitters have two, four or eight outputs.   What other DVRs/Receivers are connected to our SWM setup?   Be sure that any unused SWM splitter outputs are terminated with 75-ohm termination caps.

A "shadowed picture" is much more likely to be caused by the connection between your R16 and TV.  How is the R16's video out connected to your TV?

My mistake, it has 4 outputs. Also connected to the SWM setup is a HR22-100. Unused outputs are properly terminated.

It is connected to a 6203 RF modulator going to a SWM two output splitter with one connector going to the TV and the other to another TV.

Why are you using a modulator if the R16 has RF out?

I was told that was the way to mirror to the other set. Incorrect?

Try the RF out of the R16 to the splitter and thence to the two TV's.  Set the modulator aside.
