Unable to connect Directv to the internet

After successfully connecting to the internet wirelessly with my Motorola router to Directv soon after it was installed, after only one day the connection which lost.  Now, every time I try to connect the tv to the internet, it still lists my router by name, but then doesn’t recognize the router and asks that I manually enter the SecKey, which I do and it says it can’t reconnect and to try again, etc.  I’ve try turning off all my devices in the same room as my tv, as Directv suggests, to boost the strength but it doesn’t help.

Hi, @Libbyj,

Here's some helpful tips for connection issues

If your receiver was already connected to the internet but you are having trouble, reset your modem. In some instances you have to reset the settings in the receiver: Menu>Settings & Help>Settings>Internet Setup>Advanced SettingReset Network. Once this is done, you will have to have to reenter the network settings. If your HD DVR used to be connected to the Internet, but it isn't any longer go here to follow instructions on how to reconnect.
