can an LNB go bad if it falls a distance of 4 feet onto a lawn area?

Well, a lawn is usually pretty soft, but dropping any electronic device from 4 feet can cause problems.  What are your exact symptoms?   The more details you can  provide, the better.

Ive seen them bad brand new but i have dropped pleanty as long as its not craked it should be fine

Yup. I have dropped a few myself even from higher places and they were OK
