Installing Direct T.V. dish on roof

Installing Direct T.V. dish on roof

I had my Dish antenna installed on my roof about 8 months ago. Recently, I had a new roof installed. The dish had to be removed for the new roof to go on. To my surprise, the roofing boards, underneath the shingles had rotted from roof damage. This was because of the poor workmanship when the dish was installed. This area had to be repaired with new roofing boards before the tar paper and shingles could be applied. Just a word to the wise. DO NOT INSTALL A DISH ON YOUR ROOF. Finding these rotted boards was an accident. I am glad  the problem was identified before it would have done more damage. I am having a pole installed for the antenna. Lots of trouble, with many hour on the phone with Direct TV.  Do not trust anyone on your roof but a licensed roofer.
