the USB port on HD DVR

Does anyone know what the function of the USB port on both HD DVR receivers and H25/700? I assume it is to connect a pc/tablet. Part 2 of my question is can recorded shows be saved or transferred to a flash drive using this USB port? Thanks:smileyplain:

Re: the USB port on HD DVR

the USB port is to connect the AM21 OTA accessory tuner.  And you can't transferred recorded shows via USB or any other method

No the USB port is used for the AM21 OTA tuner and to charge small devices and the programs are encrypted and cannot be transferred digitally to anything.

You're awesome. Thanks again for the info. I won't be trying to connect my

computer to it now! Thanks again.
