Software Update

The latest software update caused our Genie box to connect to our wireless bridge and our neighbors wireless bridge at the same time. There was no action by either party to make this happen. This resulted in a mutual deletion of all of the saved programming on each other's DVRs, as we did not know where all the programs came from. Please repair this feature, and everyone check to see if you are connected to a neighbor.

Sorry to read of this. While this is an odd instance, we should be able to correct with a few simple steps. Each household will need to follow these steps. At the Genie itself go into the Menu > select "Settings & Help" > select Whole Home > select Wireless Video Bridge > select Remove Video bridge and follow prompts. This will remove the bridge from automatically connecting to the Genie. In the same Video Bridge menu, you should have an option to connect new Video Bridge. The full system may need a reset including the Genie, Bridge, and all minis. And please keep in mind, both homes will need to perform these steps. Beyond this, we do recommend contacting our technical support for further troubleshooting. Thank you for reaching out.
