I have a Tivo DVR and yesterday I had Cops episodes set to record at 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30. I was watching a different program at 3:00 when at 3:29 I got a message that Tivo needed to change channels to record a previously scheduled program. I had the option to stay on the current channel and cancel the recording or change channels. I selected cancel the recording but it changed channels anyway. Now Tivo was recording the same show on both Tuners.
This is not the first time this has happened and it seems as if no matter what option I select, Tivo changes channels anyway. One time this happened and I selected cancel the recording, the whole DVR locked up and I had to reboot.
I sent an email to technical support but they were useless -- telling me to call tech support. I've found in the past when I call is that all they tell you to do is reboot the system -- must be number 1 on their cheat sheet.
