Local Channel Connector

Local Channel Connector

Just chatted with an ATT rep.  They are sending me a Local Channel Connector.  I know nothing about this.

3 easy questions.

As I understand it, the LCC plugs in to my HR44 and I can see channels mixed in with the standard HR44 guide.  Is that correct?

Do I/can I record LCC shows on a separate HD?

I can record 2 shows on LCC and 4 on the HR44 - 6 at one time.  Is that correct?

1. Yes. LCC plugs into USB port on HR44.  Using the off-air antenna supplied with the LCC will integrate your local free stations into the HR44 channel Guide. The channels you receive will depend primarily on how far you are from the transmitters. The antenna supplied with LCC will only receive nearby stations.

2. Not sure what you mean by "separate HD"?  The LCC local channels will record to the same hard drive as your satellite channels.

3. No. The LCC includes two off-air tuners using the off-air antenna. The HR44 has five satellite tuners to record satellite channels.
