I just bought a wireless video bridge and will be getting a wireless genie mini so I can watch my recorded content on another TV. No interest in watching live programming on that TV so the genie mini is perfect.
I confirmed through the menu that my dish model has a SWiM unit on it already. So my question is how exactly do I connect the WVB to my genie HR44? I know its a coax connection, but not sure where the other end of the cable should go? I've been searching on these forums and it sounds like the WVB has to connect to one of the outputs of the SWiM splitter, which if I'm correct for my setup, is on my dish? I only have one coax cable coming into the house where my main receiver is, and I'll have to double check it but I believe that cable goes directly into my receiver. So do I have to run another cable from the dish or is there a way to use the single line that is run into the house?
Also, does anyone have a link handy for some instructions on setting up the WVB and my C41W when I get it?

Hi @moaks12,In regards to the SWIM unit, it is on the dish and you should have cables that run from the dish to a swim splitter. You would then Connect the WVB to an open port on a SWM splitter, within 80 ft of where the C61Ws will be located
Check out the steps below for installation instructions for the Wireless video bridge and C41W.
Step 1: Connect the WVB to an open port on a SWM splitter, within 80 ft of where the C61Ws will be located.
Step 2: On the Genie Server, verify the on-screen display, which should say: “A wireless video bridge has been
found and configured successfully”
Step 3: Verify all WVBs (if you are using more than one WVB) are connected to the Genie Server by checking the WVB status
Verify that the Wireless Genie Mini is at least four feet from the Wireless Video Bridge and that it is on.

In these instructions: https://manuals.solidsignal.com/wvb.pdf on the bottom left of the third page, it says:
The installation preference of the WVB is as follows:
∎ Home run wiring from the SWiM splitter to both the WVB and HR44.
∎ Home run wiring from the SWiM splitter to the WVB; then a coax jumper from the WVB to the HR44.
∎ A split cable run to the WVB is not recommended.
Can you elaborate on this? Sounds like instead of having both the HR44 and the WVB connected to the SWiM splitter I can just have 1 wire coming from the dish, then use the jumper between my genie and the WVB? Is there a reason I shouldn't do that?

Yes you can use the other port on the WVB to connect to the HR44. If you need to move the WVB closer to the mini then you need a 2way SWM splitter that you can get online.

You should be just fine using the jumper. The last part in the PDF could just be advising against attempting to extend the cable. Let us know if you have any other questions or still need help getting everything connected.

Ok I think I fully understand. I only have one receiver right now so I don’t have any splitters, just the swim power inserter.
So I can either plug the single cable from my dish into the wvb (AFTER power inserter, signal to ird line) then jumper to hr44, or I can buy a splitter and at the spot where the line plugs into the hr44 right now (after power inserter), install the splitter and then go to wvb and hr44. Or at the spot where the cable plugs into the power inserter (before inserter, power to swim) I can install the switch, making sure the inserter line that was going to the dish plugs into the dc power connector and then wvb gets the other spot. Regardless if I use a switch or now, I need to make sure I don’t plug the power to swim line into the wvb or the wrong spot on the swim switch.
