Genie HR44 doesn't see ATT wireless network for internet connection
I have a Direct TV HR44. I have an ATT Uverse wireless network. My laptop sees the ATT wireless network at almost full strength right next to the HR44 which does not see the ATT wireless network at all. How do I get the HR44 to see the ATT wireless network. How do I troubleshoot this.
Thank you for the great question about troubleshooing the HR44 and your U-verse Wifi Internet. We would love to help you with this. Let's probe just a bit more about the problem.
Does the issue occur on 1 or all of the Genies or Genie clients in the home?
What error message (or number) are you getting on the screen?
What were you doing when this error occured?
For troubleshooting steps you can do the following:
Reset the HR44 reciever(Open the access card door, lower right of the front of the reciever, and press the red button on the inside of the door).
Reset the U-verse Gateway
Unplug the gateway from the power for 30 seconds
Plug the gateway back in and wait untill all lights on the gateway are solild green. The service/broadband light may flash, that is to tell you that the gateway is connected to the network and is getting data.
Now these steps may or may not solve the problem. We do see that there is a known issue at this time, and there is a current open ticket under investigation. Once the resolution is in place you will see that the HR44 will reconnect itself back to the Wfi.
