Genie HD DVR and B&W Panorama 2 Soundbar

Genie HD DVR (Model HR34-700) connected to Bower & Wilkes Panorama 2 soundbar. Certain channels have very low volume, especially during commercials. In the DFW are, Local channel 5 through DIRECTV is one of these low volume channels. Works fine on all other channels and connect directly with blu-ray player.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Status update...DIRECTV Channel 5 is NBC in the DFW area.

In the HR34's Audio Setup Menu, try both of the "Dolby Digital" settings.

How exactly is the HR34's audio OUT connected to your Soundbar?

Re: Genie HD DVR and B&W Panorama 2 Soundbar

I have tried both of the setting in the Audio Setup Menu.

Connect is HDMI from HR34 and blu-ray directly to Panorama 2 soundbar

into HDMI1 and HDMI2 input.

Output to TV is HDMI out.

Indicator on Panorama2 soundbar shows Dolby Digital.

It seems to occur mostly on the DIRECTV Local Channel for NBC.

I would love to know how you hooked up Panorama 2. Sounds like you did the standard hookup using the Pan2 as the switcher. Dont you now have to use the Pan2's remote to switch sources, not the DTV remote? I am trying to have just the one DTV remote for everyting.
