Those shows were recorded via the networks' OnDemand channel (1000's channel numbers), not satellite channel.  Most networks limit our ability to FF through their own sponsored commercials, and DirecTV has no control over that.  Record those shows from the regular satellite channels and you'll be able to FF through the commercials.

Not really the topic of this thread.

Search this forum and you'll find your answer.  In a nutshell, you need to set up the Series Recordings using the Channel Guide instead of Search. Then it will only record from the specified channel.

Re: Error Code 721 and 722: Channel Not Purchased or Service Expired

721 is generated by the DTV system to prevent unauthorized viewing of channels as well as to force customers to upgrade equipment and pay more for services (wanted and unwanted) such as service calls, equipment protection, HD, DVR, DVR Home wide, even local channel access, etc. This is proved by the fact that you can experience 721 on all channels when you have a perfect billing or may even have better than perfect and maintained a large credit on your account for many years and when you attempt to get it removed and service restored, and the "experts" can't do it, they tell you that you need to upgrade. AT&T/DTV has admitted as much because they want everyone to use their "Genie" and get off the fully functional SD receivers just so they can charge for all those extra bells and whistles not to mention that they also want to bill you for "Leasing their equipment" unlike the ones folks own.
