Audio loses sync with AV Receiver

My Directv Genie just started losing sync with my Onkyo AV receiver.  It looks like the Directv Genie keeps reverting back to PCM and then back to Dolby Digital every time I fast forward or change channels.  It takes about 60 seconds to resync.  Anyone else having this issue???

Hello @paulp63,
I understand how frustrating that can be, so let's address your issue.
Have you tried resetting the genie? Usually this will solve most issues with it, including audio issues.

Issue Resolved....

It was actually the Onkyo AV receiver that needed a software reload and was done by a Onkyo authorized repair.
